Liverpool will enter 2019 seven points clear at the top of the Premier League. The Reds have had a perfect December and have capitalised on rival teams surprisingly dropping points. And Jurgen Klopp’s side rounded off their year in style.Despite going 1-0 down at home to Arsenal on Saturday evening, they won 5-1 and, momentarily, went nine points clear.Other than conceding an early goal, it was a perfect 90 minutes for Liverpool.Their front-three all got themselves on the scoresheet with Roberto Firmino grabbing himself a hat-trick.The Brazilian scored Liverpool’s first two goals to turn the match around and he was - literally - handed the perfect opportunity to walk away with the matchball in the second-half.Dejan Lovren went down softly in the box, winning Liverpool a penalty.Salah had already scored from the spot but, with the game already secured at 4-1, the Egyptian handed the ball to Firmino. And ‘Inside Anfield’ has captured the beautiful moment.Salah grabbed the ball and, with a huge smile on his face, gave it to Firmino before giving him a shove as if to say: “Go get your hat-trick, mate.”

SALAH GIVING THE BALL TO FIRMINO

Take a look:

Beautiful.

After the match, Klopp spoke of his joy at seeing Salah’s gesture.

“2018 ends with a Christmas present from Mo Salah and I love it,” Klopp said.

“I love the gesture. I love that he gave the ball to Bobby and he can score a hat-trick.

“That's a nice thing. At that moment, I wasn't too happy as in training Bobby doesn't finish his penalties too often to be honest, but obviously today was his day.

“Look, it worked so it was one of the nicest things I ever saw in my life. Really, I don't know a lot of players who would do that.

“When I saw him then celebrating with Bobby that was then like 'wow'. Just outstanding. So far, the gesture of the season – really, really nice.”
