Football News

Exeter staged a dramatic comeback to snatch a draw with three goals in the last 13 minutes in a 3-3 thriller at Oldham.

The Latics went ahead after eight minutes as Aidan White charged at the centre of Exeter's defence before drilling home from just inside the box.

The lead was soon doubled as Dale Stephens crossed for Oumare Tounkara to convert a bullet header from close range before Chris Taylor made it 3-0 with a powerful 12-yard shot in the 42nd minute.

Exeter launched their fightback in the 77th minute when Latics keeper Dean Brill spilled a Ryan Harley shot and Richard Logan slid in the rebound.

Jamie Cureton's smart finish into the bottom corner put things back in the balance and Exeter even missed a penalty on 88 minutes as Brill tipped Harley's spot kick onto the post after Carl Winchester tripped Daniel Nardiello.

Yet the drama was not complete as Nardiello scrambled the ball home from close range to level the scores before Stephens hit the woodwork with the final kick of the game.
