There are signs that Jurgen Klopp is bringing the glory years back to Liverpool.Since arriving at Anfield in October 2015, the German coach has led the Reds to three finals, including the Champions League final last season. And while Liverpool were beaten in all three contests, it seems a matter of when, not if, Klopp will land some silverware. That could come in the form of the Premier League trophy.Liverpool currently hold a six-point lead at the top of the table and they can extend that to nine with a win against Manchester City on Thursday evening.Should Klopp’s side leave the Etihad Stadium without losing, then their chances of winning the title will increase significantly. And Klopp’s reputation will soar.

Allegri's Twitter activity suggests Klopp feud

The 51-year-old was nominated for The Best FIFA Men’s Coach of 2018, an award that eventually went to Didier Deschamps, but he will be in the running for similar honours if he can end Liverpool’s long wait to lift the Premier League title.

And it seems as though that wouldn’t sit too well with Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri.

The Italian has liked a tweet that questions Klopp’s managerial record at Liverpool.

The tweet, posted by user @Kun_rukky, reads: “One of the greatest mysteries I still can't get my head around is how Klopp managed to convince Liverpool supporters that 0 trophies over 4 years is a very good thing. Coach of the year imo just for that.”

Here’s the proof that Allegri liked it.

What’s that all about then, Max?

Here’s hoping for a meeting between Juventus and Liverpool at some point in the Champions League, just so that we can see Allegri and Klopp go head-to-head.

Both clubs are through to the knockout stage of the competition, with Liverpool defeating Napoli in their final group game to secure their place in the next round.

Juventus finished top of Group H as Allegri tries to end the Old Lady’s long wait to land Europe’s premier trophy.

Liverpool will take on Bayern Munich in the round of 16, while Juventus face an equally difficult tie against Atletico Madrid.
