Liverpool fans are understandably frustrated with Thursday night's 2-1 defeat against Manchester City at the Etihad. Not only did the Reds come away with zero points and lose their unbeaten record in the Premier League, but there was a small sense of injustice about the game.Vincent Kompany arguably should have been shown a straight red card for his dangerous tackle on Mohamed Salah, while goal-line technology denied Liverpool a goal by the narrowest of margins.Sadio Mane also came within inches of scoring when his shot hit the post and rebounded out, whereas Leroy Sane's strike deflected in off the woodwork. But City were the better team on the night and even Jurgen Klopp admitted in his post-match interview that the result was probably the correct one."There was big pressure on the game, it was a very intense game," Klopp said on Sky Sports. "We were very unlucky in our finishing moments, a bit unluckier than City."I think everybody can see why we have the points we have. It wasn't our best game and it wasn't City's best game because we made life difficult for each other. We were in the game."We could have drawn, we could have won it and that's how it is. However, we lost it and it was clear that would happen at some point. It's not nice but not the biggest problem."Fears are already starting to creep in amongst Liverpool fans that they're going to bottle winning the title, just like they did in 2013/14.Thursday's defeat was the Reds' first of the season in the Premier League and they're still clear at the top of the table by four points, yet there's been a lot of negativity. The response drew a rather controversial tweet from the Liverpool Echo's Ian Doyle, who risked the wrath of Kopites by describing their reaction as "disappointing" and "really poor" on Twitter.

"Disappointing reaction from some #LFC fans to a performance that merited a draw at champions #MCFC," wrote Doyle.

"Maybe they are upset or tired, but it does make me wonder if these people appreciate what they are witnessing this season. Really poor show from them."

Doyle has received a mixed response from Liverpool fans for giving his honest opinion about them, but the tweets below showcase some of the support he's been given.
