When wrestling fans think of 'best in the world' in 2019, the familiar names will appear.
Seth Rollins, AJ Styles, Daniel Bryan would all be up there, but for fans of wrestling outside of WWE there will be only one man who can live up to luminaries such as those - and that is Kenny Omega.
A former WWE developmental talent, Omega has honed his craft around the world but gained significant interest as a member of New Japan Pro Wrestling's famous faction Bullet Club, and his popularity has grown in the last few years to major levels.
With his contract expiring in New Japan at the end of January though, Omega's future is up-in-the-air.
At NJPW's supershow Wrestle Kingdom today, Omega lost the IWGP Heavyweight Championship to Hiroshi Tanahashi, ending a near-seven month reign and a clear sign that his career in New Japan could be coming to a close.
He was noticeably absent as fellow Elite members Cody Rhodes, The Young Bucks and Adam Page revealed their new promotion All Elite Wrestling, leading to speculation he may not be joining forces with them.
WWE superstar Rollins has spoken out in the past about having a dream match with Omega - multiple times in-fact - and if Dave Meltzer's latest words are correct, we could be one step closer to seeing it happen.
Per WrestlingInc, journalist Meltzer stated on Wrestling Observer Radio that the WWE have made Omega a 'fantastic offer' for his services, and you can't argue that he wouldn't be a fantastic addition to the roster.
But New Japan will want to keep hold of their star gaijin, and you can bet your bottom dollar All Elite will be making a play as well.
If Kenny wants to stay loyal to his friends, he will probably take the plunge with All Elite, but stranger things have happened - and him joining WWE would certainly throw a spanner in the works.
All eyes will be on the Royal Rumble at the end of the month though to see if a certain 'Cleaner' makes a surprise appearance, much like his former team-mate AJ Styles did in 2016.
