Jurgen Klopp is expected to make several changes to his starting line-up when Liverpool travel to Wolves in the FA Cup third round on Monday.

The likes of Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson have played most games this season and deserve a rest.

In their place, Daniel Sturridge, Adam Lallana and Alberto Moreno are likely to start at Molineux after weeks of being sat on the bench.

Another regular tipped to miss out is Virgil van Dijk, who has been a rock at the heart of Liverpool's defence since joining from Southampton this time last year.

Replacing the Dutchman won't be easy for Klopp, though, due to his extensive injury list that features Joe Gomez and Joel Matip.

It means Klopp could turn to 16-year-old defender Ki-Jana Hoever, who has been training with Liverpool's first team recently and hugely impressed his manager.

"He is one for the future of course, but what we will do with him now I don't know," said Klopp of Hoever in a recent press conference.

"He is 16, turns 17 in a few days. If Joel [Matip] and Joe [Gomez] would have been fit all of the time, then probably Ki-Jana wouldn’t have been in training with the first team.

"But he was in and is still in. It is just a joy to watch him. He is an incredible, confident young fella and is really a good player on top of that.

"It's nice we can see him day in, day out. It's really cool. He is for sure for the future, but when the future starts I don't know.

"But he is in and he learns a lot and improves a lot, it will happen automatically. It's a nice prospect for the next months and years. Wolves? I don't know, we will see."

Hoever turns 17 in two weeks' time and early birthday presents don't come much better than making your Liverpool debut, so he'll be hoping Klopp gives him some minute against Wolves.

And you wouldn't blame Klopp for doing so judging by some footage that's emerged of Hoever - who can play at right-back and centre-back - in action for the Under-18s. Check it out.

Hoever's confidence is what really stands out in the video as he tries to pass or carry the ball out of defence, rather than just clear it. He looks strong and fast, too.

At 16 years old he has a lot to learn, but Monday's game will be the perfect stage for Hoever to showcase his talent.
