FA Cup holders Chelsea eased into the fourth round with a comfortable 2-0 victory at home to Nottingham Forest.Maurizio Sarri made several changes to his starting line-up for the tie, giving opportunities to youngsters Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ethan Ampadu.Alvaro Morata scored both the two goals but winger Hudson-Odoi - who is attracting interest from Bayern Munich - impressed. And so did 18-year-old Ampadu. In his previous appearances in the first-team, the Welshman has played in defence. However, against Forest, he operated in a wide right position in midfield. It was a solid performance from Ampadu but there was an aspect of his game that impressed many people.Chelsea author Mark Worrall tweeted a picture during the match and wrote: “Watching Ampadu off the ball... he is giving instructions and orchestrating play.”

And it was something that Chelsea journalist Dan Levene also spotted.

He wrote: “Ethan Ampadu wide right. Can already see his locks flying wide, as he twists his head this way and that - pointing directions and orders out to his teammates. A player of such huge character, for his tender years.”

CHELSEA FANS ALSO SPOTTED IT

And several Chelsea fans also noticed Ampadu’s natural leadership.

Not bad for an 18-year-old playing alongside the likes of Cesc Fabregas, Ross Barkley, David Luiz and Morata.

While it was an encouraging performance from Ampadu, it actually cost Chelsea £250,000.

It was his 10th appearance for Chelsea, meaning they must pay an installment of £250,000 to his former club Exeter City.

The Blues will have to pay the same amount when Ampadu reaches 20, 30, 40 and 50 first-team appearances.

With Ampadu showing this kind of leadership at 18, it wouldn't be surprising to see him reach all of those milestones in the years to come.
