No doubt Becky Lynch was the biggest breakout star in the WWE in 2018, and it looks as though there's a strong chance her momentum will stay with her throughout 2019 as well.

The Man has already got the new year off to a strong start after taking part in a segment with John Cena as well as tag-teaming with the 16-time world champion on SmackDown this past week.

Lynch completely owned Cena in the segment by saying that she wasn't just taking Charlotte Flair off WWE posters but Cena as well, before adding that Nikki Bella won't be the only woman to drop him if he had a problem with it.

During their mixed tag team match against Andrade "Cien" Almas and Zelina Vega, The Man even threw Cena out of the ring in order to pick up the win for their team. She also mocked him with his own "You can't see me" taunt after the match.

As a result of their high-intensity encounter in the ring on SmackDown, WWE recently sent out a tweet that has got fans talking.

In the tweet, WWE revealed an image of Lynch and Cena with writing that reads 'In a dream match, who would you pick?' as well as the caption: "Never say never."

WWE fans have reacted positively to the dream match, with many believing The Man would win if they ever went one-on-one inside the squared circle.

While it might seem unlikely, with the way WWE has evolved in the booking of their female superstars over the past couple of years, Lynch vs Cena can't be ruled out completely in 2019.

WWE has teased a possible dream match of Becky Lynch vs John Cena

It doesn't feel like a match WWE would waste on a simple SmackDown show either, and since Becky is likely to be involved in a feud with Ronda Rousey throughout WrestleMania season, a Lynch vs Cena showdown probably wouldn't happen until after The Showcase of the Immortals.

The match will likely never happen, but as WWE says in their post, “never say never.”
