As part of The McMahon Family's promise for change in the WWE, several NXT superstars have been advertised to make their debut on the main roster very soon.
Six NXT stars are expected to be featured on either Monday Night Raw or SmackDown Live soon. These are Lars Sullivan, EC3, Lacey Evans, Heavy Machinery and Nikki Cross.
Two of the superstars listed above were featured in matches on WWE's Main Event show before Raw took place at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida.
According to several tweets from fans attending last night's Raw, on Main Event, Lacey Evans had a match against Natalya while EC3 competed against Curt Hawkins.
The iron-fisted Lady of NXT had an eight-minute match against the two-time Women's Champion which unfortunately ended in a defeat after Natalya executed her Sharpshooter finisher.
EC3, on the other hand, was much more successful in his match against Hawkins. He defeated Hawkins in a six-minute match, and the fans in the arena chanted "EC3! EC3!" during portions of the bout.
It's great to see WWE finally giving matches to the highly-anticipated NXT call-ups on the main roster. However, only the fans inside the arena at Raw last night might get to see these matches.
According to John Pollock of POST Wrestling, via Cageside Seats, these matches for Lacey and EC3 were only dark matches and therefore won’t count as their television debuts.
Officially then, neither NXT superstar is yet to debut on the main roster, but that could all change if the matches are broadcasted on Main Event later this week on the WWE Network despite the reports.
Since WWE is calling up two female superstars from NXT, they're likely to be split between both Raw and SmackDown unless a shake-up is executed, meaning Lacey could make her debut on either brand.
As for EC3, he could be booked for either brand too. However, many fans see the similarities between EC3 and Bobby Lashley, and since Lashley is on Raw, the NXT star could be making his main roster debut on SmackDown as a result.
When EC3, The iron-fisted Lady of NXT, and the other four NXT stars finally make their debuts on the main roster, we should expect big things from them as part of WWE's new collective authority that'll book to the wishes of the fans.
