Rarely do players adapt to the Premier League as quick as Arsenal's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The Gabonese striker joined last January from Borussia Dortmund in what was Arsene Wenger's final gift to the club he served for 22 years.Aubameyang arrived in north London with a reputation as one of the world's most lethal strikers. However, even some of the modern game's best players have struggled to find their feet when landing on English shores.Angel di Maria, Radamel Falcao and Andriy Shevchenko are just some of the high-profile names that have flopped in the Premier League era.Aubameyang currently leads the Golden Boot race in England's top-flight with 14 goals and without him, Arsenal would be struggling to reach the top six.As such, the 29-year-old was awarded Arsenal's Player of the Month award for December after notching five goals in eight games, including a brace in the derby against Tottenham. The striker is renowned for being a bit of a joker behind-the-scenes and Aubameyang simply couldn't resist cracking wise with his tweet in response to the award.

Well said, Pierre.

In what has been quite a successful season for Arsenal, the trip to Liverpool was certainly a low point.

The Gunners lost 5-1 at Anfield, with Aubameyang only touching the ball 13 times during his 71 minutes on the field.

Thankfully for Emery, both Aubameyang and the rest of the squad bounced back in their next game at home to Fulham, beating the relegation favourites 4-1.

Arsenal's next Premier League fixture pits them against West Ham on Saturday lunchtime, in what will be a huge test for Emery's side.

Neither team are comfortable defending, so it may be a case of which side can outscore the other. Aubameyang is a pretty useful weapon in such a situation.
