Ever since moving away from Barcelona back in 2017, Neymar has constantly been linked with a return to the Nou Camp.

Despite transferring to Paris Saint-Germain for a world-record fee and appearing very successful in front of goal, rumours suggest that the Brazilian is unhappy in France.

In fact, there were even reports last month that his staff have been making constant calls to Barca, trying to sort out a deal that will bring Neymar back to Spain.

There's no doubt that the 26-year-old has the talent to walk straight back into his old team - but a return would be sensational, especially considering the way he left the club.

To say the two parties are on bad terms is probably an understatement, as it's been previously reported that they're contesting a lawsuit worth millions of pounds.

Still, the rumour mill keeps on turning, with the Mirror this week suggesting that Barca chiefs have met with Neymar once again to see if he's 'interested' in making a comeback.

However, not everyone is convinced about these reports, with Neymar's former teammate and club legend Andres Iniesta admitting that a return would be 'difficult'.

NO WAY BACK?

"I see it difficult for Neymar to return to Barca, but in football they have seen a hundred thousand things," Iniesta told an interview with RAC1, per the Mirror

"If he came back, I've always said that, for many years now, he is currently one of the best players in the world. And what team would not like to have him? But I cannot visualise him at Barca again."

A legend like Iniesta admitting that Neymar's return looks way off will serve as a reality check for fans who are expecting a massive deal to happen.

Still, as he suggests, plenty of strange things have happened before in football - so although it's difficult to picture it happening, we just don't know what the transfer window will hold.
