Video shows nine times Cristiano Ronaldo has already ‘used magic’ at Juventus

Juventus v UC Sampdoria - Serie A

Cristiano Ronaldo has made his doubters look silly throughout his career - and it’s been no different since he completed his £100 million move to Juventus from Real Madrid in the summer.

Eyebrows were raised when Juve splashed out that astronomical transfer fee on a 33-year-old. No player his age had ever gone for anywhere close to that amount of money.

But Ronaldo is different. To him, age really is just a number. And all those who doubted him has been left red-faced over the past few months.

While his former club Madrid struggle - the reigning European champions currently find themselves fifth in La Liga - Ronaldo is riding high with Juve at the top of Serie A.

After 19 matches, the Old Lady already possess a nine-point lead over second-placed Napoli.

Ronaldo, unsurprisingly, is currently the leading scorer in Italy’s premier division with 14 goals to his name.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner, if anything, now looks a relative bargain at £100 million six months after his move from the Bernabeu.

You suspect Madrid fans would take him back in a heartbeat, but he’s now Juve’s star man and that isn’t about to change any time soon.

Empoli v Juventus - Serie A

If you don’t watch much Serie A, then this recently-uploaded video may be of interest.

It shows nine times Ronaldo has already produced magic for the Italian giants since his arrival last summer.

The video, which is closing in on a million views since it was uploaded in late December, features the following moments…

1. Substituted and saved Juventus from losing against Atalanta

When you desperately need a goal, there’s no better footballer in the world.

2. Single-handedly helped his team beat Sassuolo

Cometh the hour, cometh the man.

3. Stepover skill v AC Milan

Goodnight, Suso.

4. Excellent assist v Valencia in the Champions League

Ronaldo rolled back the years for that assist.

5. Saves and wins the match for Juve v Empoli

That last goal, though. What a rocket.

6. Brilliant one-touch volley v Man Utd

He was always going to score against his former club - and what a goal it was, too.

7. Assist v Bologna

He’s surely the fastest footballer over the age of 32.

8. Nutmegging a Genoa defender while scoring a goal

He’ll always find a way to stick the ball in the net.

9. The first Juve player in 60 years to score 10 goals in opening 14 Serie A rounds

A brilliant record from an incredible footballer.
