Lennox Lewis has cautioned WBC king Deontay Wilder after the Alabama native announced his aim to pursue a career in acting. The former undisputed champion is no stranger to the silver screen as he starred in the 2001 smash hit ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ alongside a very young and fresh-faced Wladimir Klitschko.Hollywood superstars George Clooney, Julia Roberts and Brad Pitt comprised the leading cast members in the movie, where the two legends of the sports fictionally touch gloves in Las Vegas before a large-scale brawl ensues. After the film wrapped, Lewis was then knocked out by American Hasim Rahman, in a huge upset loss which saw Lewis relinquish all four of his world title belts.‘The Lion’ regained the belts seven months later but admitted that his experience on the big screen, may have caused him to lose focus in the build-up to his first clash with Rahman.Wilder recently took to social media and unveiled his upcoming plans to try his hand at acting.“God has blessed me to be able to do something else that I’m very passionate about and that’s acting.“#2019 big things poppin. Just wait until you see the champ in Lights, Camera, Action. #BombZquad”

And Lewis was quick to respond to the undefeated champion with a light-hearted word of warning:

“Be careful there. That acting thing doesn’t always work out for heavyweight champs. Trust me. I know!”

A huge rematch against British rival Tyson Fury seems inevitable and will most likely take place in Las Vegas later this year.

Wilder (40-0-1,39 KOs), will look for more consistency this time round when the two giants of the sport touch gloves.

‘The Bronze Bomber’ looked far from his best in December last year, but still managed to connect with two enormous shots that showcased the American’s immense strength and power.

Fury (27-0-1, 19 KOs) miraculously rose from the canvas twice, and most likely would have won the bout via a points decision should he have stayed on his feet in the final round.

The giant Mancunian displayed superior boxing intelligence and technical ability throughout the fight and will look to finally settle the score with his American rival later this year.

As Wilder continues to post on social media regarding his exploits outside the ring, Fury is already back in training and looks in phenomenal shape.

With Fury’s mentality and determination to become undisputed champion once again, Wilder will need to focus and make sure he is ready for what could well be the final months of his reign as WBC champion.
