It seems as though Chelsea are in for an incredibly busy month.
They’ve already announced the arrival of Christian Pulisic for £58 million - although he will spend the rest of season loaned back to Borussia Dortmund.
But it’s unlikely that Pulisic will be their only signing in January.
Maurizio Sarri’s side have been linked with a whole host of players, including Leandro Paredes, Nicolo Barella, Gonzalo Higuain and Callum Wilson.
Meanwhile, trio Willian, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Alvaro Morata have been subject to bids and have been linked with moves away from Stamford Bridge.
But, in the summer, there could be another player leaving the club - Eden Hazard.
Hazard has less than two years left on his current deal and has been constantly linked with a move to Real Madrid.
And there’s a growing belief that the Belgian has outgrown this Chelsea side.
But there are also some rival fans that still aren’t convinced by Hazard’s ability.
His numbers simply don’t stack up to Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo. In fact, Hazard’s numbers are incomparable to even Mohamed Salah and Raheem Sterling.
As a result, a Liverpool fan has decided to create a Twitter thread that ‘exposes’ Hazard for the player he is.
It starts off with: “Exposing Eden Hazard. (Thread)
“In my opinion, Hazard is one of the most overrated players in PL history. Now, I’m not saying he’s bad (he’s brilliant) but he is definitely overrated and nowhere near the heights his fans say he’s at.
“In this thread I will prove this.”
In the next 11 tweets, he attempts to do just that with a number of statistics and stats about Hazard.
Then, it concludes with: “Overall, he’s good. Very good. But not as good as people say.
“Nowhere near the level of top 5 or top 3 in the world. He’s not even top 3 in the league for christs sake.”
And it’s fair to say this Twitter thread has caused a bit of a stir.
With more than 400 replies, more than 1,200 retweets and more than 2,700 likes, football fans have been reacting strongly to the thread.
Maybe a move to Real Madrid is needed for Hazard to convince everyone that he truly is one of the best players in world football.
