Terrell Owens urges Cowboys owner Jerry Jones to take drastic action following playoff elimination

Owens wants Jones to make a big move this offseason after Rams eliminate Cowboys from the playoffs

Jason Garrett's time as head coach of the Dallas Cowboys has come with some ups and downs. Last night's game against the Los Angeles Rams provided fans with another down point.The Cowboys lost 30-22 to the Rams at the Coliseum in Los Angeles on Saturday, eliminating them from the playoffs in the NFC Divisional Round.This is the third time which Dallas has been eliminated from the playoffs since Garrett took over the team full-time in 2011, with previous eliminations coming in the Divisional Round as well in 2014 and 2016.The 52-year-old only has two playoff wins to his name, one win occurring last week in the Wild Card Round against the Seattle Seahawks. The other came in the Wild Card Round of the 2014 season against the Detroit Lions.Due to the lack of success in the postseason, former Cowboys wide receiver Terrell Owens wants him out and a new man at the helm next season.In an attempt to force change, the NFL Hall of Famer has directed a tweet towards Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.Owens said: "Hey @realjerryjones! Bout time for a coaching change don’tcha think?! 2 playoff wins in 10 years!! Garrett isn’t the answer & NEVER will be! Way to compete guys!! #realtalk"

Many Cowboys fans are in agreement with Owens and want a new head coach for the start of the 2019 season later on this year.

Dallas' offense did their best to keep up with the Rams' offense, one of the best in the NFL this season, but it was their defense that ultimately let them down, which lead to their elimination from this year's playoffs.

Dak Prescott finished the day with 266 passing yards and a touchdown as well as a rushing touchdown, but the Rams defense held his running back, Ezekiel Elliott, to just 47 yards and a touchdown on 20 rushing attempts.

The Cowboys' defense couldn't stop Los Angeles running for a franchise playoff-record 273 yards rushing, with CJ Anderson rushing for 123 yards and two touchdowns, while Todd Gurley ran for 115 more yards and another touchdown.

They racked up more yards than the Cowboys had allowed on the ground all season.

Prior to last night's game, there were reports suggesting Garrett could be offered a long-term extension by the Cowboys this offseason. If it was up to Owens though, he would already be out the door.
