Spireites sweat on star striker injury

Chesterfield are waiting to discover the extent of the hamstring injury that leading scorer Craig Davies suffered against Burton.

The 14-goal striker was forced off early in the second half of the FA Cup second round defeat at the Pirelli Stadium on Saturday.

"He felt his hamstring but hopefully it is not too serious," said Blues boss John Sheridan. "We took him off as a precaution really but we will have to assess him over the course of this week."
