Ronda Rousey wants to use Sasha Banks rivalry to start dream WWE feud

Last week on Monday Night Raw, WWE confirmed who would be facing Ronda Rousey for the Raw Women's Championship at the Royal Rumble later this month.

After defeating Nia Jax, it was Sasha Banks who booked her spot in the match, meaning she will face Rowdy for the Raw Women's title at the Royal Rumble at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona on January 27.

Despite this being the first ever singles match between the Raw Women's Champion and The Boss, and although Rousey sees her upcoming Rumble clash as a dream match for her, Rousey wants to use the feud to kick off a dream rivalry as well.

Rowdy wants to use her Royal Rumble match against Banks to be the foundation for the long-anticipated rivalry between the Four Horsewomen of MMA and the Four Horsewomen of WWE.

She said while speaking on her YouTube channel, via Wrestling Inc: "I'm excited to see what the promotion for this match is gonna be like. I would really like to bring the Four Horsewomen into the discussion because it needs to be addressed and it hasn't been, so far.

"I think it's a point of contention for all of us and everyone involved is just bursting with things to say. And I think this is finally the time to get some of it out."

For those of you that don't know, the Four Horsewomen of MMA are Rousey, Shayna Baszler, Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir, while the Four Horsewomen of WWE are Banks, Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and Bayley.

Three members of the two groups (Rousey, Duke, and Shafir for Four Horsewomen of MMA  and Flair, Lynch, and Bayley for Four Horsewomen of WWE) did initially have a confrontation at the Mae Young Classic Tournament in 2017, but nothing was built further from this staredown.

WWE has hardly touched the Four Horsewomen storyline over the past couple of months. Instead, they've chosen to focus on their biggest superstars in the women's division, Rowdy, Lynch, and Flair, as individuals.

There were reports last year suggesting that a Four Horsewomen match would take place at Survivor Series, but this match never took place. Instead, the Raw Women's Champion faced The Queen after The Man picked up an injury.

Rousey, Lynch, and Flair are expected to compete in a triple threat match in the main event of WrestleMania later this year, so any Four Horsewomen storyline will likely not take place until after that event. SummerSlam, therefore, could be the perfect spot for the story to climax.
