Eddie Hearn has revealed that Deontay Wilder and his team have failed to respond to six emails that have been sent to the WBC champion in an attempt to secure the fight with British fighter Anthony Joshua.
Hearn has made it clear he is not confident that the deal will be finalised in the coming future, as it appears that Team Wilder have not even thought of the prospect of fighting Joshua, as they focus on securing a rematch with Tyson Fury.
"We are probably up to about six unanswered now, in fact I sent one saying I just want to check these haven't gone into your spam. It's frustrating," Hearn said when speaking to Sky Sports, via TheSportsman.
Hearn also went on to say: "If they wanted the fight, they would talk to me."
Anthony Joshua and his team have made it crystal clear that they are desperate to fight Wilder, after beating Alexander Povetkin back in September.
But, the opportunity for the Bronze Bomber to fight Fury again seems to be their main aim, despite being lucky in the original fight in LA last month.
At this moment of time, the 2012 Olympic champion doesn't look favourite to secure his preferred choice of battle for the time being.
But Joshua has Dillian Whyte and Jarrell 'Big Baby' Miller on his shortlist, and Hearn is confident to conclude a deal before the end of the month.
Into the new year, all three boxers have offered a lot of fighting talk and this will excite fight fans, hoping that they can finally see who is the elite heavyweight fighter.
Joshua? Wilder? Or Fury?
Boxing fans can be invigorated of the possibility of Deontay Wilder v Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua v Dilian Whyte or Jarrell Miller.
It is Eddie Hearn's responsibility to set these fights up and provide an entertaining year of boxing.
