Ronda Rousey and Sasha Banks continued their feud on Monday Night Raw this week ahead of their Royal Rumble match later this month where the Raw Women's Championship will be on the line.
Rousey and Banks teamed up in a tag team match against Nia Jax and Tamina. They managed to win the clash after The Boss forced Tamina to tap out to her Bank Statement submission.
After the match, Rowdy and The Boss came face to face in the middle of the ring for an interview, with the exchanges between two beginning friendly, but things got heated rather quickly.
When she had enough, Banks walked away from the ring and back up the ramp as Rousey chased after her pleading.
Unwilling to listen, The Boss turned around and gave the Raw Women's Champion a four-finger sign, similar to that of the Four Horsemen, before walking off backstage as the segment ended.
Immediately, fans on social media believed at this moment, Banks was referring to the Four Horsewomen, a feud which could be happening in the WWE in the near future.
However, some fans as well do believe that Banks could just be referring to the fact that she's a four-time Raw Women's Champion, while Rousey is only in her first reign.
You can decide for yourself what it means.
Nevertheless, the fact there was a slight reference to the Four Horsewomen is exciting, as the feud between the Four Horsewomen of MMA and the Four Horsewomen of WWE is one of the most highly-anticipated storylines in the women's division in recent years.
For those of you that don't know, the Four Horsewomen of MMA are Rousey, Shayna Baszler, Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir, while the Four Horsewomen of WWE are Banks, Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and Bayley.
WWE has hardly touched the Four Horsewomen storyline over the past couple of months, but they have teased it several times in the past, ever since three members of the two groups had an initial confrontation at the Mae Young Classic Tournament in 2017.
There were reports last year suggesting that a Four Horsewomen match would take place at Survivor Series, but this match never happened.
With Rousey, Lynch, and Flair are expected to feud for a triple threat match in the main event of WrestleMania, any Four Horsewomen storyline will likely not take place until later this year, possibly at SummerSlam.
Banks' recent hand gesture though only adds further fuel to the fire that this highly-anticipated rivalry could very well be on the horizon.
