The impact that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made following his arrival at Manchester United has been impressive.

Six matches have yielded six wins and the players are full of confidence.

There’s even talk that the old Man United is returning.

The Red Devils were tough to watch under Jose Mourinho, whose lacklustre approach meant that Gary Neville couldn’t even be bothered to go to Old Trafford.

“About six to eight weeks ago there was a game in midweek and I stayed at home and watched it on television,” the former right-back said on The Gary Neville Podcast this week.

“I didn't want to go and there were many fans like that.

"We can't be in that position as Manchester United fans. We have to think there's a game on at Old Trafford and I want to go.”

Man United fan's thread on Martial

Now, everyone is flocking to the Theatre of Dreams.

Marcus Rashford is scoring, Paul Pogba is playing like an £89 million player and Anthony Martial looks the happiest he’s been in a while.

Solskjaer worked with Rashford on his finishing during the recent trip to Dubai but one Man United fan believes the impact that the coaches have had on Martial is clear, too.

In a short Twitter thread, @UtdAiii showcased some examples where Martial’s movement has helped Man United create chances.

The Frenchman is now dragging defenders with him by coming deeper, and this is creating space for his teammates to exploit.

Solskjaer was brought in to lift the mood at the club but he’s done much, much more than that.

The Norwegian is getting the best out of the players that Mourinho had seemingly given up on, and he’s reaping the rewards.

Sunday’s 1-0 win against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday was Man United’s fifth league win in a row and they are now level on points with Arsenal and just six points behind fourth-placed Chelsea.

You wouldn’t bet against them grabbing a top four spot.

Should that happen, it’s hard to see how Solskjaer won’t be offered the manager’s position on a permanent basis.
