When it comes to being an executive in the WWE, it's always going to be hard keeping every superstar happy.

Despite having five hours of live main roster television a week and an hour of 205 Live, plus the hour of NXT, there just isn't enough room for some stars to appear on a regular basis.

There's actually some talented folk who should probably be showcased more, but for whatever reason they're not - the likes of Tyler Breeze, Tye Dillinger and the SmackDown faction of SaNITY spring to mind immediately.

With the introduction of All Elite Wrestling as an 'alternative' brand though, it's clearly resonated towards some superstars after the big news that came out of this weeks edition of Raw.

Following their win over the Lucha House Party, reports stated that The Revival members Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder immediately went backstage and asked for their release from the company.

After being in a storyline with the trio for around two months now and still not having held the Raw tag titles, can you blame them for being disgruntled?

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer has provided an update on the apparent requests for release, and WWE's response will probably not surprise anyone.

Per Cageside Seats, Meltzer has stated that WWE are expected to grant no release requests in the near future, presumably for the obvious reason that they don't want to lose out on any talent to AEW.

And furthermore, PW Insider have confirmed that Mike and Maria Kanellis, despite hardly being featured at all on the main roster since their arrival in 2017, had their pleas for a departure ignored by Vince McMahon.

This makes The Revival's departure look very unlikely now, although what emerged a few days ago is very interesting as Wilder has filed for the trademark '#FTR' - something WWE normally as a company would do.

Whether this is a hint that the duo want to take their crafts to another promotion remains to be seen, but expect a few more superstars to want to leave WWE after the emergence of AEW in their backyard.
