Craig Beattie insists he is not leaving Swansea despite speculation regarding a move away from the Liberty Stadium.

Beattie has been linked with a switch to Ipswich but although the striker has a lot of admiration for Roy Keane, he was quick to reject claims he was close to joining the Tractor Boys.

"I wasn't even back fit (after a calf injury) when the rumour started," he told the South Wales Evening Post. "I'd been training for a couple of days after a three-month lay-off, so I was a bit flattered I was being mentioned. But it was just hearsay."

Beattie added: "I have a massive amount of respect for him (Keane). He achieved so much in the game and he is a winner and a real good guy.

"He is hungry and very determined to succeed."
