Henry Cejudo successfully defended his flyweight title at UFC Brooklyn with a technical knockout of T.J. Dillashaw last night. In a hugely one-sided and brief affair, it only took Cejudo 30 seconds before the referee stopped the onslaught as Dillashaw found himself on the floor following a shove from Cejudo. The 31-year-old's victory cements his position as flyweight champion following his victory over Demetrious Johnson at UFC 227.Dillashaw, who was looking to add to his current bantamweight title, clearly felt the stoppage came too early, protesting with the referee following the fight. He later took to Twitter, describing it as a ‘tough one to swallow having the fight taken from me like that.’UFC president Dana White clearly agreed with him, saying that he felt the fight was ended early during an interview, even describing it as a ‘horrible stoppage.’Of course, no UFC fight would be complete without a reaction from ‘’The Notorious’’ Conor McGregor, who took to Twitter following the fight to offer a rather sarcastic congratulations to Cejudo.McGregor still regards himself as a world champion across two weights, despite failing to win since 2016 and losing to Khabib Nurmagomedov in October, and his tweet clearly took a dig at Cejudo."Unlucky Henry on your attempt at fastest K.O in a UFC title fight," before signing off as "The O.G Champ Champ."

McGregor’s 13-second knockout of Jose Aldo in 2015 still remains the fastest ever in a UFC title fight, and his taunt of Cejudo clearly sought to remind everyone of where he stands within UFC.

Where Cejudo goes next is yet to be seen, with a potential rematch against Dillashaw at bantamweight a possibility following the controversial stoppage.

While he would prefer another fight at flyweight, the possibility of fighting at bantamweight presents an opportunity to become a two-weight world champion that may be a tempting proposition.

Whether he ever comes face to face with McGregor is yet to be seen, it only seems a matter of time before ‘’The Notorious’’ returns to the Octagon.
