Ryan Babel's career has certainly been one filled with twists and turns, the Dutchman was seen a promising youngster when he first signed for Liverpool back in 2007 but never quite lived up to his potential.
Liverpool fans however, do have some fond memories of Babel, most notably his goal in the Champions League quarter-final against Arsenal and coming off the bench to score the winner against Manchester United.
Babel left the Reds in 2011 to join Hoffenheim and since then has played for clubs all over the globe including, Al-Ain, Deportivo La Coruna and Besiktas.
Now 32, Babel made the switch to Fulham on January 15th in a last-ditch attempt of a career resurgence.
The main talking points when the transfer was confirmed was if Babel's bright red hair had been photoshopped or if we had all taken a trip into a time machine and landed in the year 2010.
However, after his impressive debut in 2-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, fans have suddenly dropped the jokes and given the winger credit where it's due.
Babel showed various glimpses of why Liverpool signed him from Ajax 12 years ago, before being substituted in the 56th minute.
Leaving fans full of praise for the Dutchman online - especially Liverpool supporters.
Fulham fans were also quick to have their say on social media also, with the Cottagers seeing their new player for the first time.
Ranieri's team have been poor as of late and are currently sitting in a lowly 19th, but found Babel's performance as a rare positive.
It's rare that a player returns to the Premier League after such a long time and makes an impact, but Babel would have struggled to have made a better start.
If you had asked Fulham fans at the start of the season who they thought would be a key component for Premier League survival, none of them would have even contemplated Babel.
