Becky Lynch responds to critics that believe she's 'overrated' in WWE

Becky Lynch has become one of the biggest superstars in the WWE over the past, especially with her rise on SmackDown Live from SummerSlam onwards.

The Man's heel turn really got things going for her in the WWE, but she's been laying down ever since she debuted on the main roster back in the summer of 2015.

Now, it's been widely reported that she will be part of the first ever women's main event at WrestleMania 35 later this year. However, there are some fans who don't like her.

Despite being one of the most popular superstars in WWE today, there are some fans that believe Lynch is 'overrated' because fans are just cheering against the desired booking direction of WWE.

During a recent interview with AZCentral to promote the Royal Rumble, the two-time SmackDown Women's Champion spoke about this very issue and gave her response to those that call her 'overrated'.

She said: I keep hearing now that I’m “overrated.” I don’t think I even know what that really means. Does it mean that I’m not what you think I should be?

"I’m working my (rear) off and delivering what I say and get a reaction every single time. What does that mean? Of course, it’s only from a few loud people. And that’s naturally gonna happen as you rise up the ranks."

When the interviewer told Lynch that it happens to a lot of people who are at the top of their game, she said: "Yeah, I think it happens with anybody trying to make art or entertain.

"But you always hope you can get the people talking in whatever way. That’s what you dream about. This is already bigger than I ever could have possibly imagined."

Lynch has certainly got people talking, and now, she is just about to kick off arguably the biggest four months of her career between now and WrestleMania in April later this year.

It all begins this Sunday when she faces off against Asuka for the SmackDown Women's Championship at the Royal Rumble.

The Man could be pulling double duty at the Rumble too, as she's currently one of the favourites to win the Women's Royal Rumble match as well.

Over the next few months, Lynch is then expected to be booked in a triple threat match between herself, Charlotte Flair, and Ronda Rousey in the main event of The Showcase of the Immortals, the first-ever women's WrestleMania main event in WWE history.
