Juventus extended their unbeaten run in Serie A this season to 20 games on Monday night as they beat Chievo 3-0.Goals from Douglas Costa, Emre Can and Daniele Rugani sealed victory at the Juventus Stadium in a pretty dominant performance. However, it proved to be a frustrating evening for Cristiano Ronaldo. The 33-year-old has scored 14 goals in Serie A so far and must have fancied his chances of adding to his tally against the league's bottom side. But Ronaldo produced a blank as he struggled to hit the target and even missed a penalty in the 53rd minute.Ronaldo went for the bottom-right corner but Chievo goalkeeper Mattia Perin made a fantastic save to deny Juve's star man. Check it out in the video below.

Ronaldo looked furious with himself after missing his first penalty since joining Juventus and no doubt his manager, Massimiliano Allegri, wasn't very impressed either.

After all, Allegri said in December that he expected Ronaldo to score every penalty for the Old Lady considering all the damage he's done to them in the past.

"Ronaldo takes the penalties," said the Italian, per Goal. "After he's scored that one against us in the [98th] minute, am I supposed to let somebody else do that?

"He has to do something to be forgiven. He's got to take penalties and score... always."

Given the sort of person he is, missing a penalty will haunt Ronaldo and he'll want to make amends as soon as possible.

Especially because it meant he lost a bet with Allegri.

Earlier this month, Ronaldo admitted that he made a wager with his manager that he would score every penalty this season. Six months and five penalties later, he's lost.

"It's true I had a bet with my coach on scoring every penalty this season," said the Portuguese. "I'm ready to keep it.

"It makes me happy to know that my contribution is appreciated by my coach and teammates. They really welcomed me very well and I want to repay their trust and support with hard work."

Unlucky, Cristiano.
