If you haven’t read Australian eSports commentator and football fan Nate Patrick’s Twitter thread on his parents’ chance meeting with Paul Pogba on a train, you really should. The thread has amassed more than 28,000 retweets and has left people around the world in complete stitches.Pogba was travelling on a train with his Manchester United teammates when, fearing that they were making too much noise while playing Uno, he went to Patrick’s parents to apologise and ask if they would like a photo. The problem was that Patrick’s mum and dad had no idea who he was."Dad is like, 'oh, that's nice', and gives one of the gentlemen his phone for this stranger to take a photo of mum and dad on this train from Manchester,” Patrick wrote on Twitter.“The stranger looks weirdly at my dad, and says (with a French accent) 'No, no, no, I am asking if you would like a photo with me, sir?”Patrick’s dad then asks Nate to identify the mysterious man who he has just posed for a photo with, to which Nate reacts in disbelief.

“THE MAN WITH HIS ARM AROUND DAD IS PAUL POGBA, THE MOST EXPENSIVE FOOTBALLER IN THE WORLD, AND WORLD CUP WINNER WITH FRANCE,” Nate wrote in response on WhatsApp.

Pogba has sent a tweet to Nate

It turns out that Patrick’s parents weren’t all that bothered by the incident.

“They are now sharing photos of a dog they saw after they got off the train, so I think it's safe to say they've moved on,” one of his final tweets reads.

And Pogba wants to see the dog.

The Man United midfielder has replied to Nate with a really class tweet.

“Man I need to see the dog 🐶 Say hi to your lovely folks for me!,” Pogba wrote.

Seems like this is only the start of the relationship between Pogba, Nate and his parents.

Oh, and the dog, too.
