Seventeen-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal still has the hunger and drive to win.The Spaniard beat Stefanos Tsitsipas, the man who conquered Roger Federer earlier in the tournament, in straight sets 6-2, 6-4, 6-0 to book his spot in the Australian Open final. The Spaniard cracked 28 winners, breaking Tsitsipas' serve six times, and only facing one break point himself.Nadal will face either world No.1 Novak Djokovic or Frenchman Lucas Pouille in the first major final of the calendar year - the two play later on this morning as of writing this article. This is now the 25th Grand Slam final Nadal has reached and will be a chance for him to win his first title Down Under since 2009 - the only time he has won the Australian Open. After he walked off court, Nadal was captured becoming very emotional as he broke down into tears, showing that the drive to win is still there. However, he quickly put on a brave face and will know that he will have to play at the top of his game to make his dream come true."It was a great match, it has been a great tournament and I have played very well every day," Nadal said."Hopefully I can play better than that."

Nadal was also left crying at last year's Open, but in very different circumstances and for contrasting reasons.

He was left collapsed in a heap on the ground in last year's quarter-final with Marin Cilic at the beginning of the fifth set.

At the time he was world number 1 and was favourite alongside Federer to gain only his second Australian Open title.

The injury left Nadal limping off the court drowning in his own tears believing his dream of finally winning this Grand Slam title again was over.

It was just the second time Nadal would've had to retire in a Grand Slam match.

Nadal has suffered with injury problems throughout his career, but looks to be getting back to the top of his game.
