Ronda Rousey successfully managed to live to fight another day after defeating Sasha Banks at the Royal Rumble last night.

Rousey retained her Raw Women's Champion at the Rumble on Sunday by executing Piper's Pit on Banks for the pinfall win.

However, the two Raw stars then had two different types of confrontation inside and outside of the ring following their match.

Inside the ring, Rowdy and The Boss showed great respect towards one another and helped each other up back onto their feet following their grueling match.

Outside the ring though was a different story, as Banks threw up the Four Horsewomen sign at Rousey when the two confronted again as they began to walk back towards the gorilla position.

The Raw Women's Champion took note of this and mentioned it during her backstage interview on WWE's YouTube, stating that she doesn't think there's mutual respect between them.

She said: “As a competitor, I have respect for her. I just think the Four Horsewomen is the only real point of contention for me, you know? Me and my friends were the Four Horsewomen before we came to WWE.”

“It wasn’t a gimmick or a marketing ploy because it was a gimmick or it made us more popular because we are aligned. It was like this is real, it’s personal.

"This is our lives and they’re taking something that’s near and dear to our hearts and just trying to package it and sell it to the masses. I mean they don’t even like each other.”

“I don’t know, it’s just something that is so personal and near and dear to me and my friends that if they held the four’s up in the same regard that we do I would have respect for that, but for them, this is nothing but marketing.”

A Four Horsewomen match has been teased for some time by the WWE, but it has recently amplified thanks to the feud between Rowdy and The Boss.

It definitely feels like a much bigger confrontation is coming between the two groups down the line, possibly at SummerSlam or Survivor Series later on in the air.

However, all members of WWE's and MMA's Four Horsewomen have other storylines to conclude first.

Rousey is now expected to defend her Raw Women's Championship in the main event of WrestleMania in a triple threat against Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair.

Banks, on the other hand, is rumoured to team up with Bayley and go for the Women's Tag Team titles, which will be up for grabs inside the Elimination Chamber next month.
