Ronaldinho will go down in history as one of Brazil's best ever players.
The Porto Alegre born player was just a genius with the ball at his feet.
He was at the peak of his powers during his time at Barcelona, where he scored 94 times in 204 appearances and became a cult figure in the process.
Lionel Messi emphasised just how good he was, saying he was responsible for the change at Barcelona.
"Ronaldinho was responsible for the change in Barca," Messi said, per PlanetFootball. "It was a bad time, and the change that came about with his arrival was amazing.
"In the first year, he didn’t win anything, but people fell in love with him. Then the trophies started coming and he made all those people happy.
"Barca should always be grateful for everything he did."
Off the field problems held him back from being considered among the very best but, he still had a tremendous career.
He played his last game in professional football for Fluminense in 2015 and, at the start of 2018, he eventually announced his retirement.
But has Ronaldinho still got the skills that saw him become a footballing legend?
As a matter of fact, it appears he does.
Now 38, Ronaldinho was recently asked to play beach football for Brazil in their match against Japan.
And he turned on the talent as Brazil won 11-4.
Ronaldinho posted on Twitter his highlights of the match, where he scored a hat-trick.
The second of which was the pick of the bunch; controlling the ball with his back towards goal before swivelling and producing an unstoppable effort.
