Current WBC Silver heavyweight champion Dillian Whyte has now rejected his third offer for a potential rematch with boxing heavyweight Anthony Joshua.

It has been reported that an initial bid of near £3 million was made before it was then followed up by an increased offer of over £4m.

According to World Boxing News, promoter Eddie Hearn has now raised the offer even more, with stakes rising to upwards of £5m of which has now reportedly been rejected.

The most recent rejection has made Joshua and Hearn now make reservations and prepare to take their first steps towards a fight with Jarrell Miller instead.

This is after Miller’s handler, Dmitriy Salita, announced his interest in a future bout with Joshua earlier this year, saying he was keen to secure the clash and that it suits both parties.

“Eddie and I have a great working relationship," Salita said. "We have discussed this possibility some time now. I believe the fight will happen at the right time.

"Joshua already knocked out Dillian Whyte. So while it may be an interesting fight in the UK, I don’t know the interest for it in world boxing terms.

“Miller v Joshua is one of the biggest fights in boxing. It will happen at the right time. Boxing history will determine when that right time is.”

Salita also expressed Jarrell’s interest in future bouts with the likes of Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury as well as Joshua, saying: “Jarrell wants to fight the best champions and contenders in the division.”

Per World Boxing News, Miller is now supposedly in the driving seat and the match-up with Anthony Joshua is his to accept or reject.

Miller is currently stipulated to face Trevor Bryan in a WBA #2 eliminator which has the possibility to give him a good year in preparation for AJ.

But as things stand, Joshua vs Miller is supposedly on the cards with a date in June likely to be made official in the foreseeable future.

Although the highly anticipated Joshua vs Whyte 2 isn't completely out of the question, it appears a much bigger offer needs to be made quickly for any chance of salvaging that April date at Wembley.
