The WWE Universe were given a huge surprise on Monday evening, as Becky Lynch made an appearance on Raw to officially challenge Ronda Rousey for her Raw Women's Championship at WrestleMania.

Earlier in the night it was stated by Triple H that the Irishwoman would make her decision the following night on SmackDown, after she last eliminated Charlotte Flair to win the Women's Royal Rumble this past Sunday.

It then led to a face-off between the Baddest Woman on the Planet - who had just defeated Bayley to retain her title - and Lynch, with Rousey showing her true potential on the microphone with some savage comebacks to Becky's statements.

Last nights SmackDown Live saw Flair confront Lynch to sarcastically congratulate her on her Rumble victory, which the Lasskicker responded to with a fierce right-hand.

The two then brawled outside the ring, and later on in the evening Lynch 'refused medical attention' on the knee she injured at the Rumble, stating she doesn't need to spend anymore time on the shelf.

WWE fans that want the one-on-one between Lynch and Rousey were worried that the company might try and work an angle in so that Flair gets involved in some way at WrestleMania, and Dave Meltzer has confirmed their fears.

Meltzer's stated on the Wrestling Observer Radio show, per WrestlingInc, that Flair will be added to the match 'somewhere down the line' and that was the plan as of Raw on Monday night.

There's likely to be a negative reaction to that happening from the WWE Universe, but the company are seemingly dead-set on the Triple Threat match for Mania - it could even main event the whole show.

With Rousey supposedly taking a break after Mania is in the history books, we're more than likely going to see a new champion, whether that is Lynch or Flair remains to be seen.

The fans know who they want to see hold the belt next, but Vince McMahon may just have other ideas.
