A frantic transfer deadline day awaits Arsenal. On Wednesday it was confirmed by Barcelona that the Gunners had signed Denis Suarez on loan until the end of the season with the option to make it permanent.Barca announced the move on their website but quickly took their statement down because paperwork was still left to be completed. It was put down as a 'technical error'.So now the focus has turned to who will be Arsenal's second signing in January after Unai Emery said he wanted to bring in two players on loan.Arsenal don't have any money to play with this month, of course, so it's been a struggle to find players who are available midway through the season.Three names have been linked with the Emirates side: Inter Milan's Ivan Perisic, Dalian Yifang's Yannick Carrasco and Paris-Saint German's Christopher Nkunku.Perisic looked like the most likely at first, but according to various sources Inter are insisting that Arsenal pay £35m.Attention then moved to Carrasco and there were suggestions that all parties were open to a loan move. Negotiating a deal has proved tough, though. As for Nkunku, the 21-year-old wants more playing time and Arsenal are admirers.Time is of the essence for Arsenal to make something happen and now David Ornstein of the BBC has provided a timely update on all three players."Arsenal's attempts to sign Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan or fellow-winger Yannick Carrasco of Dalian Yifang look to be over," tweeted Ornstein, as you can see below."But they are still working on Paris-[Saint] German midfielder Christopher Nkunku after sealing Denis Suarez deal."

Arsenal's options are dwindling and unless they can convince PSG to part ways with Nkunku on loan, they may have to settle for just Suarez.
