Naby Keita has left Liverpool fans underwhelmed after five months at the club.
Supporters had been buoyed by his exciting performances for RB Leipzig and some promising showings in August and September, but his honeymoon period at Anfield has well and truly expired.
Keita has become a source of frustration and that was especially apparent during the 1-1 draw with Leicester City, with the Guinea international delivering a subpar display.
The Liverpool Echo slapped him with a rating of 5/10, writing: "In something approaching a preferred central role, the Guinean struggled to make an impact and worried with some loose touches."
They did praise him for almost winning a penalty, but many Liverpool fans thought he should have gone for goal much earlier anyway.
Keita's Liverpool struggles
Keita was playing closer to his natural position and that makes the fact he struggled all the more gutting, as many fans had speculated that his stints out wide were holding him back.
As a result, the Leicester game proved the culmination of Liverpool fans' frustrations, having been left underwhelmed by many of his previous outings.
But Kopites are famous for rallying around their players and while Keita is clearly wading through difficult form right now, he'll have the backing of the Anfield faithful no matter what.
Liverpool fan's Keita video
And now that the initial anger has petered out, the fan reaction has transformed into something of consolidation and that's no better demonstrated than by the latest video from 'BassamLFC.'
Re-posted under the caption 'trust in Naby,' it shows the 23-year-old's finest moments since joining the club and makes it very clear that he could turn things around.
For a player who is already being written off by certain fans, he's produced an impressive highlights reel in very little time. Check out the full video down below:
Trust in Naby indeed.
The potential is clear for everybody to see and as a young midfielder still finding his feet in the Premier League, there's hope that he can turn things around.
Klopp has plenty of history with integrating players into the team, taking his time with the progress of Andrew Robertson, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and most recently Fabinho.
The Reds are already working on a different timeframe with Keita but there has been enough positives to ensure that the club doesn't lose faith.
Besides, James Pearce noted just this week: "Klopp is also confident that Naby Keita will grow in stature over the coming months after a slow start to his Anfield career."
If we can see the positives from the video on a more consistent basis, then Klopp's confidence will be vindicated.
