Chris Jericho sent shockwaves rippling round the wrestling world last month by being revealed as the marquee signing for the new All Elite Wrestling promotion.

Funded by the rich Khan family who own NFL franchise the Jacksonville Jaguars and English Premier League team Fulham, Jericho has joined forces with them as they look to become a relevant competitor to WWE.

It's likely with his experience and expertise that Jericho will be a key player behind the scenes, helping Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks whenever he can when it comes to making big decisions.

Considering the first AEW show isn't until May though, Jericho has a lot of time to put his feet up when his band Fozzy aren't playing shows, which meant he could watch his former home's pay-per-view - the Royal Rumble - this past weekend.

Former WWE Grand Slam champion Jericho made it clear that he was watching the Rumble, and he directed a savage tweet towards Brock Lesnar after his match with Finn Balor which was deleted soon after.

The tweet read: “Intimidation and fear goes a LONG way in our business guys. But let’s be honest, @BrockLesnar needs to pull up his pants and lose the gut… the dream is over dude. I don’t play by the script… @wwe @AEWrestling.”

Fans were questioning whether or not Jericho was drunk at the time of his tweets, but he confirmed he wasn't - the Wrestling Observer however think that there's a reason behind Y2J's tweet.

Per Cageside Seats, the Observer has stated that Jericho wants a match with Lesnar, which would mean AEW would need to take the Universal Champion away from WWE.

Lesnar leaving WWE for AEW, sounds like someone's living in a fantasy land, right?

Well it may not be that far from being on the mark.

Everyone knows by now that Brock follows the money, and the Khans have more than Vince McMahon does.

It all comes down to Brock's loyalty to Vince McMahon though, he's allowed him to fight for UFC whilst being under contract to WWE and there's no guarantee he would get the same treatment in AEW - and you'd expect Vince will pay everything to keep Brock.

We will just have to see how it all pans out, but it may be the biggest shock in the wrestling world for a long, long time should Lesnar jump ship to All Elite.
