2018 was a good year for SmackDown, and it made a change to see a fresh, no-nonsense babyface authority figure on a WWE show that seemed to do a good job.

We're talking about Paige of course, who was universally-liked as a wrestler and then as a General Manager.

The first SmackDown after TLC in December though saw Shane relieve Paige of her duties as part of the 'fresh start' storyline where the McMahons would oversee both brands, but reiterated that Paige would 'not be going anywhere'.

That has seemingly proven to be false, as she has not been seen on television since that very night.

She's been busy in the mean time anyway, with the new film 'Fighting With My Family' set to be released in the United States very soon, documenting her life and the path she walked down to get to the WWE.

Considering she's in the spotlight again you'd imagine that WWE would surely have some plans for her coming up to get her back involved with the week-to-week product.

In an interview with Sky Sports during Royal Rumble weekend, Paige has stated she's actively looking to get herself back on television and has an idea of what she wants to do going forward.

“At this point, I don’t know. Should I put it out in the universe again? I want to be a manager for somebody,” Paige told Sky Sports, per NoDQ.

“I don’t know who but I would love to do that. If that’s not the case then, I don’t know, I just want to be part of the company.

"I love this company. I just like to talk a lot. I don’t know if I’m any good at it, but I’ll give it a try.”

The general consensus was that Paige had a very popular run as General Manager, and it was pretty harsh to not continue using her following the 'fresh start'.

There's quite a few WWE stars on the main roster who aren't very proficient on the microphone that could do with Paige as a mouthpiece, as like she said - she loves talking.

So hopefully we see her back on our screens in the near future.
