It's been over a week now since Seth Rollins outlasted 29 other superstars to win the Men's Royal Rumble match.

The Architect has been riding the crest of a wave for several months, with the WWE Universe behind him and getting an endorsement on Raw from Triple H, his victory seemed like it was a long time coming.

Rollins hasn't won a world title since the 2016 Money In The Bank event, and even that run was brief - he defeated Roman Reigns for the WWE Championship before Dean Ambrose immediately cashed in his briefcase to take the belt off him.

And the fans have now made it clear that Rollins is the man they want to dethrone Brock Lesnar, who currently holds the Universal Championship.

Rollins was absolutely brutalised by Lesnar this past week on Raw after he seemingly chose him over Daniel Bryan for his WrestleMania title match, and suffered six F5s for his selection.

There was a worry though when Rollins did not show for his scheduled live event appearances in Canada this weekend.

And now Post Wrestling have seemingly confirmed as to why the Kingslayer was not present.

John Pollock of the website has stated that Rollins has been dealing with an issue that happened before he took all of Lesnar's finishing moves on Raw, and isn't expected to show up tonight in Portland.

Furthermore he won't be physically involved with anyone inside the squared circle for the next months whilst he continues to recuperate from the undisclosed injury.

WWE can't risk losing one of their WrestleMania main events, so it's the right call to let Rollins rest it out should he really have a problem.

It wouldn't be the first injury issue Rollins would be suffering from at Mania time anyway, in 2015 he damaged his knee ligaments which forced him to miss WrestleMania 32, then just two months before Mania 33 in Orlando he injured his knee again, but was able to compete against Triple H.

We're hoping and wishing for Seth to have a full recovery as we count down the days towards WrestleMania.
