Fulham are in serious danger of relegation from the Premier League following Saturday's 2-0 defeat away at Crystal Palace. With 13 games now remaining of the season, the Cottagers are second bottom in the table and seven points away from safety.Conceding goals has been Fulham's biggest problem - they've shipped 55 so far, more than anyone else - and they haven't had much luck in front of goal either.Aleksandar Mitrovic is their top goalscorer on 10, while Andre Schurrle has six and the recently-departed Aboubakar Kamara has five.Beyond those three, no Fulham player has scored more than two goals.Schurrle was missing against Palace through injury and he recently admitted after a 2-1 defeat to Burnley that Fulham are in trouble."It's not easy," the 28-year-old said in January, per Football.London. "I've never been involved in something like this. It's not easy to adapt to losing a lot."It's not what I am used to, so I have to put my qualities for the team and try to score a bit more. We are in deep, deep, deep trouble. It's not in our own hands, but there is hope and belief."Fulham have fallen even further behind since losing to Burnley on January 12, which has provoked a rather eye-opening response from Schurrle. The German is midway through a two-year loan spell at Craven Cottage from Borussia Dortmund and in a latest interview with Kicker, he said that he won't stay if they're relegated.Indeed, Schurrle reckons he's too good for relegation from the Premier League due to his "quality and success"."No [I won't stay if Fulham go down]," he said. "My loan at Fulham would end with the club's relegation. My Dortmund contract would be active again.

"Of course it's not my standard to play against relegation in England, especially considering my qualities and the general success I've had throughout my career."

Wow. Schurrle clearly has a very high opinion of himself and it's safe to say his comments haven't gone down well with Fulham fans. Check out their reaction below.
