Dustin Johnson may have claimed victory at the controversial Saudi International tournament last weekend but Sergio Garcia has stolen most of the headlines for his disqualification.

Johnson took control of the leaderboard during the second round before eventually finishing two shots ahead of Li Haotong on 19 under par on Sunday.

Nevertheless, Garcia had everyone talking with his bizarre antics during the third round which saw him get disqualified from the tournament for serious misconduct under new rule 1.2A.

He was accused of purposely damaging five greens by dragging his feet and hitting divots in the grass and he has since apologised, insisting it will never happen again.

Garcia also had a 'temper tantrum' during his second round in one of the course's bunkers after being unhappy at how it had been raked, from which the footage went viral.

The Spaniard's behaviour at the Royal Greens Golf and Country Club have seen him criticised by many fans and pundits but now Brooks Koepka has also weighed in with his opinion on the Playing Through Podcast.

"Ugh, it's frustrating as a player to see, to act like that, to disrespect everybody,” said Koepka - via Golf Digest - who was playing two groups in front of the former Masters champion but didn’t know what happened until afterwards.

“To act like a child out there is not cool. It's not setting a good example and it's not cool to us, showing us no respect or anybody else."

To Garcia's relief, European Tour chief Keith Pelley has said the matter is closed and the organisation are not planning to take any further action.

"Dustin [Johnson] didn’t have a problem with it [the course],” Koepka said.

“That's just Sergio acting like a child,” Koepka continued. “It's unfortunate that he's got to do that and complain. Everybody's got to play the same golf course. I didn't play very good, but you didn't really see anybody else doing that. You're 40 years old so you gotta grow up eventually."
