Real Madrid put in a decent performance in their Copa del Rey semi-final first leg clash against Barcelona.
Los Blancos lost 5-1 in the first Clasico of the season in September, but they looked a totally different team on Wednesday night.
Real Madrid came racing out the blocks and took the lead through Lucas Vazquez after just six minutes.
Unfortunately for Santiago Solari's men, Barcelona would draw level through Malcom just after half-time.
Gareth Bale had the chance to give his side the victory late on but he spurned his chance, meaning the game finished 1-1.
On the whole, it was a pleasing night for Real Madrid.
They go into the second leg later on this month as the favourites to advance to the final.
However, despite the encouraging score-line, not all of their players have come out of the game with credit.
One of those that failed to impress was Marcelo. The 30-year-old has has been the world's best left-back in recent years.
However, this season, he has been poor.
He has been widely criticised for his performances this season, with many thinking that he is in decline.
His defensive abilities have often come into question and, sadly, he has come under-fire once again for his part in Malcom's goal.
A video has emerged which show Marcelo's 'defending' for Barcelona's equaliser.
Of course, Malcom was his man, but in the video Marcelo can be seen showing no desire what-so-ever to get back.
When he realised he was horrendously out of position, the 30-year-old did attempt to sprint back, but by the time he acted it was well too late.
Watch it below:
That just looks awful for Marcelo. That attitude is just unacceptable in a game of this magnitude.
He has been widely criticised this campaign and, on this occasion, Real Madrid fans have every reason to be upset with him.
Marca's assessment of the Brazilian left-back said it all.
"Marcelo endured a difficult evening at the Camp Nou and it showed that his form is even more worrisome than perhaps was originally thought," they wrote. "He was out of shape, out of position, and utterly exposed by Malcom."
If Marcelo does not turn around his performances, it seems his time in Madrid may soon come to an end.News Now - Sport News
