Just weeks after the Royal Rumble was etched into the history books, we are on the final stretch for yet another pay-per-view as Elimination Chamber will be hosted next weekend in Houston. We will finally get to see the WWE Championship match main event a dual-branded card for the first time since the 2016 brand split, as 'The New' Daniel Bryan puts his eco-friendly title on the line inside the eponymous structure. The title has been overlooked for a long time now and it's finally getting the platform it deserves, and with the talent lining-up in the match it has genuine five-star potential.Five other men will be looking to seize the belt from Bryan as WrestleMania looms, one of them being AJ Styles.Styles hasn't competed in a match since the Royal Rumble event where Bryan defeated him once again, which was nearly two weeks ago now, and was taken off the cards for the live events last weekend. And that led to reports that The Phenomenal One had suffered an injury which had forced him to rest up in order to heal his wounds before Elimination Chamber next weekend.Much like his tweet that denied he had rejected a new contract from WWE though, Styles was quick to refute the reports that he was crocked.

He then took shots at the media in general, as he clearly has gripes over the latest reporting of his future in WWE and his supposed injury.

Looks like AJ is getting frustrated with the false reports about his future and current status, and who could possibly blame him?

There's been constant rumours linking his name to All Elite Wrestling, as he was in the Bullet Club with AEW co-founders Matt and Nick Jackson during his New Japan Pro Wrestling stint.

The expectation is though that Styles will eventually sign a new deal with the WWE, one that will probably see him go part-time as the 41-year-old will assumingly look to spend more time with his family.
