Unai Emery's first season as Arsenal manager has been full of ups and downs.

As it stands the Gunners are sixth in the Premier League, through to the Europa League Round of 32, out of the FA Cup and out of the Carabao Cup.

Arsenal's form has been all over the place and it's mostly due to their leaky defence and inconsistent performances from the likes of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Mesut Ozil and Alex Iwobi.

But two players Emery can have no complaints about are Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who have both been in fine goalscoring form.

Lacazette, who joined Arsenal in 2017 from Lyon, has nine goals and five assists to his name in 24 Premier League appearances.

As for Aubameyang, the 29-year-old is currently the Premier League's second top goalscorer on 15 and has made four assists.

Twenty-four goals and nine assists between them - not bad at all.

Arsenal fans have loved watching Lacazette and Aubamayang's strike partnership blossom and it's hard to believe that Emery once refused to start them together.

Now he has no choice, because it's clear that the north Londoners are a much better side when their two main strikers are both on the pitch.

Morale has also improved at Arsenal and they recently went paintballing as part of a team building exercise. Emery posted a picture of the whole squad on Instagram.

Arsenal players seemed to enjoy themselves and now Emery has told a very funny story on Soccer AM about Lacazette and Aubameyang teaming up on him. Check it out.

Tubes asked Emery: "Who was the best at paintballing?" to which Arsenal's manager replied: "The best? Lacazette and Aubameyang were shooting me from five metres [away].

"I looked up and just saw Laca and Auba's faces."

Emery had Tubes cracking up with his story and animations as he tried to re-enact Lacazette and Aubameyang shooting him from close range. You'd expect nothing less from the Arsenal pair.
