Becky Lynch has become the talk of WWE and the wider sporting world in recent months, and she's become such a star that her presence is commanded on BOTH Raw and SmackDown recently.

For the second week in a row the Irishwoman made an appearance on the red brand, after the previous week she challenged Ronda Rousey to a match at WrestleMania.

Lynch was invited to Raw by Stephanie McMahon this week, with the outcome of the Lasskicker being 'suspended' as she refused to see a doctor about her injured knee.

Fear not though, WWE fans - several sources have indicated that the so-called injury is in-fact a work, presumably to give Lynch some rest in the weeks leading up to Mania, or they just want to protect her character by not having her wrestle and halt other stars' momentum.

The segment ended with Lynch attacking McMahon for the imposed suspension before being escorted out of the arena - and the very next night she did the same to Triple H.

You get the feeling that they're going a very Daniel Bryan-esque anti-authority route with Lynch when they don't really need too, she's been built already as a genuine threat to Ronda Rousey and already has the support of the fans.

But if Dave Meltzer is to be believed, it could all be part of a bigger storyline further down the road.

As he's stated on the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, per WrestlingInc, a match between Lynch and McMahon has been suggested for the 2019 edition of SummerSlam in August.

Meltzer went on to say that such a match isn't a 'done deal' by any stretch of the imagination, but several sources have told him that discussions are ongoing.

Lynch is a hot favourite to dethrone Rousey at WrestleMania, as she's apparently taking some time off following the event, but with Charlotte Flair reportedly set to be involved and make it a Triple Threat match, there's every chance Lynch doesn't walk out of the Metlife Stadium as Raw Women's Champion.

If she does however, you can't see her being champion and putting the title on the line against someone like Stephanie, meaning if WWE were to go along with plans to pit the two against each other, Lynch would have to drop the title beforehand.

There will probably be a lot of negative reaction should Stephanie be pitted against Becky, but let's just see how things pan out before the fans lose their marbles over such a potential decision.
