Cesc Fabregas thinks Eden Hazard will snub Real Madrid and renew Chelsea contract

Chelsea v Sunderland - Premier League

Chelsea will have a fight on their hands to keep Eden Hazard from Real Madrid this summer judging by recent reports.

According to the Daily Mail, Real are confident they can land the Belgian for less than £100m because he will have under 18 months remaining on his current contract.

Chelsea, meanwhile, want over £100m and will only consider selling if Los Blancos meet their demands.

It's also claimed Real could use Isco or Marco Asensio as a bargaining chip to land Hazard in the same way they used Mateo Kovacic to sign Thibaut Courtois.

Kovacic joined Chelsea on a season-long loan to soften the blow of Courtois moving to Madrid for £35m.

The fact that rumours about Hazard are already starting to swirl suggest the 28-year-old will be involved in this summer's biggest transfer saga.

What's more is Hazard recently claimed he's already made a decision on his future.

In an interview with French radio station RMC, he stated: "I know what I am going to do. I have made a decision."

Chelsea fans are praying that Hazard's decision will be to stay, but the Belgium winger has made no secret of his desire to play for Real one day.

Cesc Fabregas, who joined Monaco from Chelsea in January and played alongside Hazard for four-and-a-half years, has now given his take on the situation.

And the Spanish midfielder has a theory that if Hazard has said he's already made a decision, then it's because he's staying at Chelsea.

He told Radio Marca on Thursday: "If Hazard has said that he already made his decision, then I think it's because he'll renew his contract with Chelsea."

Great news for Chelsea fans, but Fabregas also dropped the bombshell that Hazard has always said he likes Real.

"He has a year-and-a-half left and he is happy at Chelsea and so is his family," he added. "But in the end they are very personal decisions. He likes Madrid and he has always said it."
