Kylian Mbappe's highlights vs Bordeaux without Neymar & Edinson Cavani

Mbappe vs Bordeaux

Few football fans gave Manchester United a prayer when they were drawn against Paris Saint-Germain in the last-16 of the Champions League.

Jose Mourinho's side were stuttering and underperforming in Europe's premiere competition, struggling to beat the likes of Valencia and Young Boys.

While the self-proclaimed 'Special One' did earn a lucky 2-1 win away in Turin against Juventus, none of Europe's big-hitters were fearful of the Red Devils.

However, fast-forward a couple of months and add Ole Gunnar Solskjaer into the mix, some may even label United as 'dark horses' to win the whole competition.

Solskjaer has masterminded 10 wins from his first 11 games, with PSG arriving at Old Trafford on Tuesday night in the midst of an injury crisis.

Both Neymar and Edinson Cavani look set to miss the game, leaving Kylian Mbappe to try and perform without his two partners in crime.

It was a task the 20-year-old had to perform on Saturday evening in the 1-0 win vs Bordeaux, with Cavani coming off injured at half-time just after scoring the only goal of the game.

And Mbappe's highlights from the second-half look promising for United, because without Neymar and Cavani, he was forced to drop deep a lot.

If Mbappe is forced to drop into midfield as much as that, United's centre-backs will breathe a huge sigh of relief.

Angel Di Maria and Julian Draxler are, of course, big threats as well, but Mbappe acting as the creative force in attack is certainly better for United than him using his pace to get in behind.

Gianluigi Buffon said after the Bordeaux game that he feels the games against the Red Devils are now 50/50.

"On Tuesday, a very important game is waiting for us," he said, per Goal. "We have to have a great game.

Mbappe in action

"Our game against Manchester United needs to be beefier, stronger, with a different attitude.

"No [we are not favourites], I think we are tied, it's 50/50."

The 41-year-old may start against United over Alphonse Areola after his performance against Bordeaux, which included a remarkable fingertip save - which you can watch below.

Some things never change.
