Monday Night Raw this week finished with a bang when Vince McMahon made an announcement that has changed the main event of WrestleMania which was originally supposed to be Ronda Rousey vs Becky Lynch.
Despite Lynch apologizing for attacking Triple H and Stephanie McMahon the week before, Vince appeared at the top of the ramp and announced that she would be suspended for 60 days, and removed from her match at WrestleMania because she thinks she's bigger than WWE.
The WWE Chairman then decided to use his powers and book Charlotte Flair into the match instead of Becky which brought an end to the show as The Man stood alongside Ronda Rousey in the middle of the ring.
What fans that were watching Raw at home didn't see though was that Lynch and Rousey teamed up after the show went off the air against The Riott Squad.
Ruby Riott stated that she felt overlooked this week and needed to make a statement, so herself, Liv Morgan, and Sarah Logan surrounded the ring looking to pounce on The Man and Rowdy.
Instead, the tables turned rather quickly with Ronda and Becky locking armbars on Morgan and Logan to send The Riott Squad packing. The two are then seen jawing and standing over the Raw Women's Championship as the clip ends.
Rousey and Lynch team up
WWE's potential booking plan
It looks like Rousey and Lynch could be teaming up against The McMahon over the next few months in order to get the Women's Royal Rumble winner's 60-day suspension lifted and back in the main event at WrestleMania 35.
More twists and turns are expected to happen between now and The Showcase of the Immortals in this storyline to eventually book the triple threat main event between Ronda, Becky, and Charlotte, and one could potentially come this weekend at Elimination Chamber.
Rousey will be defending her Raw Women's title against Riott at the pay-per-view this Sunday, but she is widely expected to come out of the match still as champion.
WWE could then have The Man attack Vince as well as Ric Flair during his birthday celebrations in two weeks over the next month on TV in order to entice Charlotte to request a match with her at Fastlane.
A stipulation could then be added to this match where if Becky was to beat Charlotte, she will be booked in the Raw Women's title match at 'Mania. She then does exactly that, overcoming the adversity Vince has thrown at her since her Royal Rumble win.
WWE will give the fans what they desire eventually, which is The Man standing tall with the Raw Women's title, just the road to WrestleMania itself is going to be a bit rocky.
