Many fans are angry with the WWE today after the way they booked the main event of Monday Night Raw this week, which saw Charlotte Flair replace Becky Lynch in the main event of WrestleMania vs Ronda Rousey.

Despite Lynch apologizing for attacking Triple H and Stephanie McMahon the week before, Vince McMahon stated that she would be handed a 60-day suspension and removed from her match at WrestleMania because she thinks she's bigger than WWE.

The WWE Chairman then decided to use his powers and book Charlotte into the match instead of Becky which brought an end to the show as The Man stood alongside Ronda in the ring.

Following the conclusion of Raw, many WWE fans took to social media to express their anger with the company for replacing Lynch in the main event of WrestleMania with Flair.

However, one fan has posted a great storyline on Reddit which WWE could use to make all of their fans happy while also still keeping true to their own desire of having to put The Queen in the match.

2001 Ric Flair

Reddit user XfinityIsNotAWord posted a storyline for the Lynch vs McMahon Family feud that suggests the origins of this latest twist spans back 18 years ago to 2001.

At the time, Ric Flair showed up on Raw and revealed to Vince that he bought Stephanie and Shane McMahon's company shares to fund the WCW/ECW Alliance, thus now making him 50% owner of the WWF.

They then add: "However, Ric secretly revealed to Vince (according to Meltzer) that his teenage daughter wanted to someday become a wrestler and main event Wrestlemania.

"Ric had already set the paperwork up to ensure that even if he lost power, Vince would always be legally obligated to guarantee Charlotte a spot in the main event someday once she had grown up. (Thus explaining Vince's bizarre and frantic tugging of his ear that night.)

"There was no statute of limitations in place, so Vince's actions tonight on Raw were inevitable. Flair was a brilliant strategist and had his lawyers draw up an ironclad clause in his 2001 ownership deal that was simply unbreakable."

They went on to state how Charlotte developed in NXT and rose through the ranks in WWE until last night, Vince reluctantly lived up to his part of the deal, bringing an end result to the long game The Nature Boy set up back in 2001.

This may all come to light in WWE when Ric is on Raw in a few weeks to celebrate his 70th birthday. Or will it? Never say never when it comes to the WWE!
