Being arguably one of the greatest fighters of all-time, Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather has been videoed passing on his boxing knowledge to the next generation.Undefeated lightweight Devin Haney (21-0-13KO) posted the video on his Twitter in which Floyd explains the key to a long and successful boxing career.With a boxing career that spanned over 21 years and saw him retire with a record of 50-0, it’s no surprise that Mayweather appears to be following in his father’s footsteps by giving back to the sport.Mayweather Senior had a long professional career before becoming one of the most successful coaches in the history of the sport.Floyd junior, Oscar De la Hoya and former two-division champion Joan Guzman were all trained by Mayweather Senior, in a coaching career that has spanned nearly 30 years.Reports have suggested that Mayweather could return from retirement one last time to fight Manny Pacquiao in a highly anticipated rematch.Yet, this video would suggest that his future could lie in coaching the sport.Mayweather was known to be one of the best defensive boxers and was unquestionably the best pound for pound fighter of his era.Nicknamed ‘Pretty Boy’ early on in his career, he finished a high number of his fights with quick combinations and lightning hand speed.

As Mayweather's career progressed, he moved up a weight class and also injured his hands.

This meant that the knockouts decreased, and ultimately led to some defensive masterclasses, which saw him later labelled as ‘Money Mayweather’.

It’s not the first time Mayweather has helped a young fighter, he helped promote two-time super featherweight champion Gervonta Davis earlier on in his career, and still plays a huge part in his decisions.

It, therefore, seems that Mayweather is set to transition into the role of a boxing coach in the not too distant future.
