Manchester United's Champions League hopes for the season are hanging by a thread.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's seemingly rejuvenated side were dismantled by Paris Saint-Germain, who were missing both Neymar and Edinson Cavani.

Presnel Kimpembe and Kylian Mbappe scored the goals to secure a 2-0 win, with the latter tormenting the United back-line throughout.

The Red Devils lost both Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard to injury in the first-half which seemed to disrupt any rhythm United had going forward.

Their replacements Juan Mata and Alexis Sanchez really struggled to have any impact on the game - the less said about Sanchez these days, the better.

United's talismanic figure under Solskjaer, Paul Pogba, was also sent off for two yellow cards, increasing the size of the mountain the Red Devils have to climb in Paris.

And being a man down in the final few minutes of the game, United were deprived of the ball by PSG for what felt like an eternity.

Oles rang out around Old Trafford and former Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli was enjoying the ball being stroked around the turf by the Parisians.

The Italian striker - who is now with French side Marseille - has recently retuned to Twitter and could not resist a dig at his former foes.

BALOTELLI'S TWEET

Balotelli uploaded - and then deleted - is own video of PSG tormenting United's ten men, accompanied by the caption: "MAN UTD OOOOOLÈ😳"

Below is the video Balotelli posted.

A cheap shot, to say the least.

Balotelli also posted another tweet mocking United for the 6-1 loss inflicted by City way back in 2011, a game in which he scored two goals in.

However, the Italian also swiftly deleted these posts. Maybe his PR finally team had a little word in his ear...
