Ole Gunnar Solskjaer tasted defeat for the first time as manager against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night.Solskjaer's 11 game unbeaten streak came to an end as his side were defeated 2-0 by the French giants. After a goalless first-half, PSG showed their superiority after the break.Presnel Kimpembe opened the scoring after 53 minutes, in the process notching his first goal for the club. And Kylian Mbappe ensured PSG would go into the second leg with a commanding two-goal lead.Man United go into the second leg knowing they will need a miracle to go through. And, they will have to come back knowing they will be without their star man, Paul Pogba.Pogba was largely frustrated throughout, with Marquinhos and Marco Verratti often getting the better of him.His night got even worse when he was given his marching orders with just a minute of normal time to play.L'Equipe have given their assessment of the game as they have individually rated every player that featured. And their comments about Pogba were particularly eye-catching.The French based newspaper showed they had no bias to French players, saying, per the Mirror, that Pogba was 'non-existent' and that he had a 'nightmare'.They also gave him a rating of just 3/10.Ouch. Another play they didn't hold in high regard was Alexis Sanchez. The Chilean forward came on seconds before half time as a substitute for Jesse Lingard. But, he too struggled to make his mark.L'Equipe noted how his performance shows he has been a 'flop' at since making the move from Arsenal. And they went on to say that the highest-paid player in the Premier League 'wandered around like a soul in pain.'Like Pogba, the 30-year-old was given a 3/10.Other players who received ratings of 3/10 included Ander Herrera and Nemanja Matic.Matic was criticised for his part in Kimpembe's opening goal while Ander Herrera was accused of not being able to influence the game.Lingard was also attacked, with L'Equipe noting he struggled to utilise his pace and movement. While the majority of Man United players were criticised, the player who L'Equipe rated the best was Ashley Young. They gave Young a 6/10 and was praised for his ability going forward.Overall, United's players were given an average rating of 3.8/10, compared to PSG's 6.8/10.Look at their ratings below:
